Weighbridge Office Administrator/ Quality Controller

HJ Lea Oakes Ltd are suppliers of top-quality animal and livestock feeds, serving farmers across a wide area in Cheshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and North Wales. We are currently looking for a full-time Weighbridge Office Administrator/Quality Controller to join our team in delivering outstanding customer service. This vacancy is based in our Blending Plant in Prees, near Whitchurch, Shropshire.

Job Description and Profile

It is a diverse role that involves wide spectrum of weighbridge operations, vehicle movements in and out of site, quality control of incoming raw materials, stock control, sampling and quality checking and reporting, working with transport and production schedules and processing paperwork etc.

Requirements:

  • · Highly organised person, able to multitask and work under pressure in fast-paced environment
  • · Prior experience of working in the weighbridge office or similar environment required
  • · Prior experience of Quality Control and stock control/stock taking required
  • · Good communication skills, good command of spoken and written English
  • · Good numeracy and literacy
  • · Good computer skills – the role involves working on industry specific software and Microsoft Office package
  • · The successful candidate will be energetic, friendly and calm under pressure
  • · Ability to work well as part of a team, including cooperation with other departments
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • · Taking ownership of busy weighbridge office, located on-site in our Blending Plant
  • · Weighbridge operations (vehicle movements in and out of site)
  • · Raw materials intake, including strict Quality Control, processing delivery notes, inputting data into Intake records
  • · Preparing samples and completing paperwork to send to the Lab for Quality testing
  • · Finished product despatch, creating delivery notes, processing order paperwork, handling samples
  • · Processing all incoming/outgoing paperwork
  • · Printing labels
  • · Stock control/stock take
  • · Working with Transport and Production schedules
  • · Liaising with other Departments: Transport, Raw materials, Customer services, Technical
  • · Point of contact for Drivers (company drivers, contracted haulage)
  • Terms:
  • · Full time position (40 hours a week, normally between 6am-2pm Monday and Friday). Overtime hours (including Saturday mornings) might be available in busy periods.
  • · Overtime payable at x1.5 and x2
  • · Training will be provided
  • · Company pension
  • · Bike2Work scheme
