HJ Lea Oakes Ltd are suppliers of top-quality animal and livestock feeds, serving farmers across a wide area in Cheshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and North Wales. We are currently looking for a full-time Bulk Blower/Tipper Driver to join our team in delivering outstanding customer service.

Job Description and Profile

This role involves farm deliveries, loading & unloading vehicle (bulk blowing/tipping), handling delivery paperwork. It is a customer facing role that requires good communication skills.

Skills and Specifications:

Good communication skills, good command of spoken and written English
Good numeracy and literacy
The successful candidate will be energetic, friendly and well presented
Interest in helping and working with customers

Terms:

Full time position (40 hours a week, normally between Monday and Saturday, but involving some weekend work, flexible working arrangements can be discussed. Winter shifts at busy periods could include the following: Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday (+ every other Sunday) or Thursday-Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday (shunting/bulk blowing). Overtime available and paid at premium rates.

Essential Requirements

Requirements

Prior HGV driving experience is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate if not experienced
Bulk blower/tipper experience would be an advantage
Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence
Digital Tacho Card
Proof of CPC training

Duties and Responsibilities:

Loading animal feed onto the vehicles
Delivering orders to the customer’s farms and unloading at the destination (bulk blowing/ tipping)
Handling delivery paperwork
Liaising with customers, farm workers, mill production staff and transport department
